Upper East Side Townhouse

Townhouse

Our firm has been fortunate to design a number of custom homes for a variety of clientele. This project is a townhouse renovation for the former president of Coach Leather.

The project included an entirely new facade, an extension into the rear yard creating a double height living room and a gut renovation of all 5 floors. The stoop and original detail had been lost so we crafted this new facade that is once again stately but in a modern manner.

A successful project is one where there is a true collaboration with the client – where we have taken their inspirational images, way of life, opportunities of the space and designed a home that is even better than they had imagined. One that is beautiful, full of light and functional.

In this room a portion of the 2nd floor was demolished to create a 2-story tall Living Room.

This project was an incredibly successful collaboration with the clients – Reed Krakoff and his wife Interior Designer Delphine Krakoff.

Stairs are a pure joy to design. It is a part of the house that is sculptural and has movement.
