What we do

JVA is an award-winning architectural and interior design firm. Since 1991 we have focused solely on residential design, specializing in townhouse gut renovations, new ground-up townhouses, landmark restorations and rooftop additions. Our projects also include pre and postwar apartment and loft renovations, as well as interior design.

While not exclusively “townhouse architects,” we do consider ourselves townhouse specialists. Of all the types of residential renovations in New York City, a townhouse renovation is the most complex and challenging, requiring a special set of skills our firm has honed over the last 33 years.
